Keikyu EX Inn Haneda (2026): Free Breakfast, a Night Shuttle — and a Name Trap to Avoid

If you've got an early flight out of Haneda or a near-midnight arrival, Keikyu EX Inn Haneda is one of the most practical beds in Tokyo: one station from the airport, a free light breakfast from 5:00 AM, and a free shuttle that picks you up at the terminals at night and drops you back from 4:00 in the morning.

But before you tap "book": there are two hotels called Keikyu EX Inn near Haneda, they sit near the same station, and they suit different travelers. The hotel's own website warns guests not to confuse them. Here's the full picture — including the one rule that catches people at the front desk: it takes no cash at all.

The name trap: two Keikyu EX Inns, one station

Both hotels are near Tenkubashi, and mixing them up is common enough that the official site explicitly warns against it. The quick rule: “Haneda” = free breakfast and the night pick-up shuttle. “Haneda Innovation City” = the public bath.

If a hot soak after a long-haul flight is the priority, book Innovation City. For almost every other airport-stopover use case — especially a late arrival where being collected from the terminal matters — the original Haneda building is the pick, and it's what the rest of this guide covers.

Getting there (and the late-night reality)

From the airport, the easy way is the free shuttle: evening buses leave Terminal 1 at 18:25–23:45 and Terminal 3 at 19:35–23:55, taking around 10 minutes. Two official quirks: buses never stop at Terminal 2 (walk or ride to the T1 stop), and seats can't be reserved — 58 seats, first come, first served.

By train it's one stop to Tenkubashi on the Keikyu Airport Line or the monorail, then a 3-minute walk from the A2 exit. Small accessibility note straight from the official access page: A2 has an up escalator only — going back down to the station is stairs, and the nearest elevator exit (A1) adds about 10 minutes on foot. The 4 AM shuttle: early flights are the whole point

Morning buses run from the hotel's basement stop starting at 4:00, then roughly every 20–30 minutes until 10:00, reaching Terminal 3 in about 8 minutes before continuing to T2 and T1. One catch, printed right on the timetable: the 4:00 departure does not stop at Terminal 1. And breakfast opens at 5:00, so even a dawn departure can eat first — it's a light meal (choose Japanese or Western), with no allergy, halal or vegetarian adaptations offered.

Rooms, laundry and the useful small stuff

Rooms run from compact 14㎡ semi-doubles up to 36㎡ twins, all with free Wi-Fi, a humidifying air purifier and washlet toilets; some smoking rooms exist, so filter for non-smoking when booking. The practical extras are what make it work as an airport base: six washer-dryers on the 2nd floor whose live status you can check from your room's TV, a currency exchange machine, microwave, and self check-in kiosks with English menus. There's no hotel parking, and left luggage after check-out is same-day only (pick up by 23:00). Cancellation is 50% the day before, 100% on the day.
