Three ways to cross Japan, planned day by day: Tokyo → Osaka (the classic), Tokyo → Kyushu (castles, the west, a volcano) and Tokyo → Hokkaido (snow country, seafood, the far end of the line). Then seven places most visitors never reach — a car-free onsen village, a monastery town where you sleep in a temple, a port of stairways and cats.
12 pages, 80 photographs. Every stop links to its guide on this site, and every price and opening hour was read from the official page — the same way every guide here is written. Enter your email and the PDF is yours right away; once a month we send the updated edition.

No daily emails, no partner offers, and we never share your address. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Details in our privacy policy.
